  I am curious to read what you write next.

  You have a good flow.

  I wanted her to have more children. I wanted her husband to be kinder. I wanted them to get divorced if they found they were not compatable .

  I wanted them to have grandchildren, so she could give her ring to say the oldest grand daughter or maybe give her ring to her daughter in law, but there was no mention of her only son marrying.

  I do not know how many JW's have tragic lives.

  I can only guess.

  a) "field ministry is not controlled or monitored by the elders, the congregation, or watchtower".

  b) "an individual publisher's field ministry activity, including the time and manner it is carried out, is a personal matter between the publisher and his god.".

  Hi BerryGerry... Yes. I was short on my hours . I was okay with my mag placements, and I had RV's, no Bible studies, I had placed no booklets??? ( He was really hung up about that) and maybe only 1 or 2 books. No subscriptions.

  I realized, many years later, he did not like my family and was taking it out on me. He still crushed me. I was so proud of myself for all the hard work I had done and all the effort I had put into vacation pioneering. I mean it WAS the summertime and I WAS sacrificing great times with friends at the beach to go d2d as an unpaid volunteer.

  I never really liked him before, but that "employee review... that had me coming up 'lacking'".... I really did not like him after that at all.

  I wish I had had the nerve to stand up to him... I wish I knew that I should have left and never been a JW and had a real life...

  TruJW .... Wow! You, in a few words, hit the nail right on the head!

  ----->>> All those decades, all those wasted years, and we were nothing more than "unpaid volunteers".

  I realize now, I was never even religious, though I thought I was.

  So I guess I, (we) were unpaid volunteer door to door salesmen for Watch Tower Publishing House . Nothing more. Nothing less.

  Watchtower and Awake. 10¢ "No, we are not selling, we are 'placing' these magazines with our neighbors today. Here is your personal copies".
  
  I am a normal person. I would have helped my neighbors, my friends, my country, out on my own, if that is what I desired.

  I always had to put WT and other people's "desires" ahead of my own.

  The first time I "vacation pioneered" I was 17 years old and had intended to get in all 75 hours. Life happens.

  The COBE (new name now) dressed me down one side, then the other for I guess making him "look bad"?

  I sat there complacently as he abused, and disrespected me and my fun month in service spending more time in 4 weeks, d2d, than I had ever spent in one month in my entire life.

  please join with me, and celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic wt with the front cover which boldly proclaimed that the generation of 1914 would never pass away.. the cover date of the that wt is infact this very day so let us raise a glass to this clear sign they have god's backing:.

  in this the 100th anniversary of our lords return (invisibly of course brothers) it is a fine and appropriate thing to do..

  I have a friend. She is nearly 100 years old. She was a missionary to Cuba. She is very nice and very intelligent. Way smarter than I ever was.

  She has 2 children around my age. Those smart kids woke up and left WT decades ago. I called her less than 7 years ago and asked her how her children were and if they have come back to meetings. She said No. I, at that time still a drone, could not imagine why my old friends would leave the Israelite God of War, YHWH. She just said, they don't love Jehovah anymore and there is nothing I can do about it. I said, maybe they need therapy or maybe they were brainwashed with apostate literature or something. She said, "I don't know" and then offered for me to come and go in service with her or come over later in the afternoon, when she would be home and have a rootbeer float with her. I loved her and her whole family dearly. I've known them forever. I have looked her 2 children up on FaceBook , left a hello message, they have not replied back to me. They both have married, had children, good educations and jobs. Maybe I represent the past which they would rather forget.

  One thing about this site that bothers me

  the constant references to 'window washers' as something derogatory.. i understand the context of it-that most jws are uneducated, and unqualified to do much more.

  but sometimes the references seem snobbish, almost mean-spirited.

  one poster, on another thread, essentially referred to window washers as 'losers'.

  K.S. Point taken. I have used that term I am sure in some of my 2,000 + posts. I did not mean to be cruel or insensitive. I know some window washers. One is very bright. He should have pursued Uni. His name is Jon. His parents paid for a private school education, but of course, being a good son and JW drone, seat warmer, at 18 he started pioneering and started his own business cleaning, including window washing. My ex and I would help him for free sometimes, because he seemed so tired and needed a break. He moved across country to pio . He married and lives far from here. I had been with him when he ran into a high school class mate . Hey Jon, what are you doing??? He was embarrassed. He picked a wife and is an Elder dud. His wife is a bit@h. He doesn't seem like the old Jon I knew.
